She was born Elizabeth Ann Wright on July 7, 1946, in Gatesville, Texas to Llewelyn Wright and Maxine Love Wright. Ann grew up in Gatesville and graduated from Gatesville High School. She then attended Business College and became a teacher there. Ann was introduced to Wayne Langford by her preacher at Miller Heights Baptist Church. Wayne asked Ann to the sweetheart banquet, and this began their love story. Ann and Wayne were married November 17, 1965, in Gatesville. She was the secretary for Gatesville Independent School District and then secretary for the Belton Independent School District. Ann and Wayne moved to Santa Anna where she was a devout member of the First Baptist Church. She became the choir director, sang in the choir, was the children’s choir director, and was an avid supporter of WMU and GA.
Ann was full of life, and her personality and laughter was contagious. She was known for her New Year’s Eve Parties, singing songs on hayrides, and beating Wayne at Scrabble. Ann loved music and would always have a record playing at the house. Her faith was abundant and could apply scripture to any situation that life gave her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Ann will be missed.
Preceding Ann in death are her parents, Llewelyn and Maxine Wright; and one brother, Paul Wright.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Langford of Santa Anna; one daughter, Jeannie Blessinghame of Dallas; one son, Lawrence Langford of Santa Anna; five grandchildren, Lauren, Lindsey, Levi, Allie, and Alys Ann; one sister, Lois Forehand of Round Rock; one brother, George Wright and wife Florence of Round Rock; and three sisters in laws, Janice Hipsher of Santa Anna, Jean Langford of Santa Anna, and Marsha Langford of Abilene.
