Archie Wayne Lancaster

Archie Wayne Lancaster, age 63, of Coleman, died Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Coleman County Medical Center.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Hords Creek Cowboy Church, 3851 State Highway 153, in Coleman.  The family will greet friends for fellowship and visitation after the service.

Archie was born December 14, 1957, in San Angelo to John Lancaster and Mary Lee Gray Lancaster Tinney.  He grew up in Big Lake and Winters.  Archie proudly served his country by serving in the Army National Guard for over 16 years.  After receiving an honorable discharge, Archie then became a fully certified and licensed paramedic.  He served as a paramedic in Winters, Ballinger, Marble Falls, Silsbee, Beaumont, Jasper, San Augustine, and Hemphill.  Archie married Liz Adkins on August 14, 2004, in Jasper County, resided in San Augustine County, and then relocated to Coleman in 2012.  After medically retiring from EMS, Archie loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family and friends.  Archie loved his family and will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Lancaster, Mary Lee Tinney, and Leroy Tinney; and his brothers, Johnny Lancaster, Larry Lancaster, and Travis Tinney.

Archie is survived by his wife, Liz Lancaster of Coleman; his children, Angela Bailey and husband Mike of Aurora, Archie Wayne Lancaster, II and wife Jessica of Coleman, Julie Lawrence and husband Jerid of Bangs, Gary Good Jr. of Fort Hood, Todd Lancaster of Jasper, Charles Good and wife Mary Garza of Coleman, Johnathan Lancaster of Jasper, John David Good of Coleman, and Timothy Lancaster of Jasper; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his brothers, Rickey Tinney and wife Martha of Garland, James Tinney and wife Melissa of Carlsbad, New Mexico; and his sisters, Shirley Lancaster and husband Donald of Luling, Sereda Nance and husband Robert of Jacksonville, and Mellissa Nichols and husband Greg of Winters.
