Barbara Ann (Tucker) Wright

Barbara Ann Wright, age 78, of Coleman, died Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at her daughter’s house in Goldthwaite surrounded by her family.

She was born Barbara Ann Tucker on May 9, 1941 in Coleman to Grady Tucker and Lula Bell Calk Tucker.  Barbara grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School.  She married Durl Wright on August 25, 1961 in Kermit, Texas.  Barbara was a dispatcher at the Hobbs Police Department for many years.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the casino to have a little fun.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Lula Bell Tucker; her husband, Durl Wright; and her brothers, Norman Tucker, Wayne Tucker, and Robert Tucker.

She is survived by her children, Grady Wright and wife Maggie of Novice, Vanessa Storey and husband Doug of Goldthwaite, Michael Wright of Coleman, Monty Wright and wife Jeriahn of Katy; sister Lorraine Jackson and husband Bill of Abilene; 12 grandchildren; and multiple great-grandchildren.

Barbara requested no funeral service. A private burial will take place at the Coleman City Cemetery.   Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.
