Betty Sue (Hipp) Cupps

Betty Cupps, age 71, of Santa Anna, died Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Brownwood Nursing and Rehabilitation.

The family will host a time of visitation at 12:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service celebrating her life at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Maureen Wilson officiating.  Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

She was born Betty Sue Hipp on August 3, 1951, in Coleman to Clarence Hipp and Billie Lorene McCoy Hipp.  Betty grew up in Coleman County and graduated from Santa Anna High School in 1968.  She married Richard Cupps on January 15, 1989, in Santa Anna.  Betty attended Texas State Technical College in Brownwood where she obtained her degree as a certified public accountant.  She also worked at Stemple Manufacturing and Dry manufacturing.

Betty enjoyed playing cards, specifically Skip-Bo.  She enjoyed making floral arrangements for all seasons and holidays.  Betty was a member of Heartland Church in Brownwood.

Preceding Betty in death are her parents, Clarence and Billie Hipp.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Cupps of Santa Anna; one son, Michael Cupps of Santa Anna; one granddaughter, Grace Brown of Santa Anna; and one sister, Billie Rae Diaz of Brownwood.

Memorials are suggested in memory of Betty to the Santa Anna Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 97, Santa Anna, Texas 76878 or to a local charity of the donor’s choice.
