Bill Street

July 6, 1941 — February 26, 2024

San Angelo

Bill Street, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, died peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2024, at Sagecrest Care Center in San Angelo. Bill was born July 6, 1941, in Abilene to Curtis Vernon Street and Etoile Faye Caskey Street. He grew up in Brady and graduated from Brady High School in 1959. Bill was a Brady Bulldog and proudly sported his black and gold. Bill married Janet Hicks on January 21, 1961, in Brady.

Throughout his life, Bill was a beacon of kindness and compassion. As Vice President of marketing at Control Equipment in Odessa, he excelled in his career. Together with his beloved wife Janet, he also owned and operated Caskey Floral, leaving a lasting impact on the community.

Bill's love for his family knew no bounds. He is survived by his devoted wife Janet Street, his son Butch Street and wife Jerri, his daughter Kellie Lane and husband Ronnie. He cherished his grandchildren Kristin Wilson and husband Ben, Alyssa Byrd and husband Taylor, Macee Lane, Dustin Street and wife Samantha, Blayne Street and wife Lindley, and Addy Street and boyfriend Jose Duran. Bill also loved and cherished his ten great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Radeen Hicks; and many nieces and nephews. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A man of faith, Bill was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church and an active participant in various community organizations, including the Coleman Lions Club, Exchange Club, and Coleman Masonic Lodge #496. Passionate about travel, he and Janet explored the world together, creating countless memories along the way.

As a proud grandfather, Bill delighted in attending basketball tournaments and sporting events, cheering on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether fishing, watching football, or following the PGA Tours in Las Vegas, Bill's zest for life was infectious.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Patsy Bailey; and one brother, James Street.
