Bonnie Wilson

Bonnie Wilson, 76, of Coleman, died Friday, October 11, 2013 at Coleman County Medical Center. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2013 at Elm Street Church of Christ, 216 West Elm Street, Coleman, with Terry Wilson officiating, assisted by John Wilson and Bob Martin. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born Bonnie Maxine Roberts on April 5, 1937 in Sundown, Texas to Virgil Roberts and Zula Cullar Roberts. Since her father worked and moved with the railroad, she lived in the Electra, Jolly and Chillicothe areas. She married Sam Wilson on August 16, 1952 at Chillicothe Church of Christ. She taught kindergarten and then worked alongside her husband at A & W Oil Field Supply. She enjoyed china painting, loved all flowers and devoted time to cancer support groups. She was former member of Elm Street Church of Christ and Hillcrest Church of Christ and was a member of Santa Anna Church of Christ at the time of her death.

Survivors include her husband, Sam Wilson of Coleman; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and DeAnn Wilson of Sudan; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Johnny Williams of Coleman; one brother, William Howard Allen of Wichita Falls; five grandchildren, Misty Needham of Coleman, Rowdy Morgan of Thackerville, Oklahoma, Cole Morgan of Thackerville, Oklahoma, Kenzi Green of Lubbock, Landon Wilson of Littlefield; two step grandchildren, Jimmy Williams and Joy Williams; 13 great grandchildren and 10 step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Jessie Allen.

Family visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.
