Brenda Sue Coyle, age 79, of Goldsboro, passed from this life to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene.
The family will greet friends on Monday, November 9, 2020 starting at 12:15 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the Midway Cemetery Pavilion. Interment will follow in the Midway Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
She was born Brenda Sue Chapman on January 6, 1941 in Farmersville to Melvin Chapman and Maggie Irene Toumbs Chapman. Brenda grew up in Pleasant Grove and later became the office manager at Dr. Duncan Ramsey’s office. She met the love of her life, Tommy Kirby, in 1993 and the two became inseparable. They moved to Coleman County in 2008 from Rowlett and settled in Goldsboro. Brenda loved gardening and being outdoors. Most of all, she loved her family. Brenda was a wonderful wife, a loving mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Maggie Chapman; her son, Greg Nicholson; her sisters, Barbara Linthicum; and her brother, Ronnie Chapman.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Kirby of Goldsboro; her children, Russell Coyle and wife Kelly of Monticello, Kentucky, Kristi Pittman and husband Hank of Brownwood, and Douglas Coyle of Goldsboro; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Phillip Chapman and wife Lisa of Lucas.
