Buila Hudson, 87, of Coleman, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Senior Care of Brownwood. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, with Rev. James Posey officiating. Burial will be in the Leaday Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
She was born Buila May Faries on March 23, 1928 in Silver Valley to Jess Faries and Dora Burton Faries. She grew up and attended school in Coleman County. She married Elmo Hudson on December 8, 1977 in Leaday. She was a homemaker and member of Leaday Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Orphey Laws and husband, Clinton, of Coleman; two brothers, Wesley Faries of Brownwood, Jessie Faries and wife, Rene, of Bangs; two step children, Joe Earl Hudson of San Marcos, Sue Harendt and husband, Bobby, of San Marcos and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Hudson on July 20, 2004; a daughter, Dora Jane Carson; a sister, Bertie Crawford; a step daughter, Lela Lyle and a step son, Elmo "Sonny" Hudson, Jr.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 01, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home.
