Charleene Scott Gilliam

Charleene Scott Gilliam, 75, of Spring Branch, died Thursday, December 28, 2017 in San Antonio. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman. Burial will be in the Glen Cove Cemetery.

She was born Charleene Scott on November 4, 1942 in Coleman to Charles Lee Scott and Wilma Laws Scott. She grew up in Coleman County and graduated from Centennial High School. She married Jerry Donald Gilliam on July 26, 1963 in San Angelo. She moved to Houston in 1986 and worked as a Reservoir Analyst for Enron Oil and Gas. She moved to Spring Branch in 2017. She enjoyed painting with water colors, had a green thumb when it came to plants and gardening and was a Texas History buff.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Gilliam; one daughter, J’Leene Hardaway and husband, Ricky; three brothers, Wade Scott, Gary Scott, Russell Scott; two grandsons, Greg Kohlhof, Michael Kohlhof and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials in memory of Charleene may made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Lung Association.

There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Stevens Funeral Home.
