Coleata Riley, 102, of Cedar Park, former resident of Coleman, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at New Hope Manor Nursing Home in Cedar Park. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, with Sam Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
She was born Coleata Fannie Martin on April 28, 1913 in Grosvenor, Brown County, Texas, to Johnny Womack (J.W.) Martin and Alice Jennings Martin. She grew up and attended school in Goldsboro and Cross Cut. She married Robert Lynn Riley in 1938. He preceded her in death in March, 1970. Mrs. Riley worked at Grammer's, Sturges & Gibbs, Perry's and Ray Don's Man Shop. She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Billy Riley; four grandchildren, Bill Riley, Ricky Riley, Collette Tabor, Debbie Kenyon; two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Riley was also preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Hunt and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home.
