Craig Yockey, age 57, of Coleman, died Friday, April 13, 2018, at his residence. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas. The family asks that all those in attendance wear casual dress.
Craig Yockey was born July 7, 1960 in Iola, Kansas, a son of Richard F. Yockey and Jacqueline Marie Kelly Yockey. He lived in many places while growing up, including Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Alaska, and Louisiana. He attended part of his high school years at Custer City, Oklahoma, but graduated from high school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He also attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. In 1985 he married Rhonda Judith Adams in Wheeler, Texas. They lived in Pinehurst, Texas for over 20 years before moving to Coleman in 2006. He was a self-employed pilot car driver, owning and operating Yockey Pilot Car. Craig loved to fish and hunt. He loved his family, enjoyed his grandchildren, and was a patriotic American. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Judi Yockey of Coleman; three sons, Jason Fisher and Justin Yockey both of Pinehurst and Jeremy Yockey of Coleman; four grandchildren, Anthony, Alaina, Savannah, Ethan; one brother, Timothy Yockey of Pinehurst; two sisters, Collette Yockey of Wharton and Cherryl Binion of Coleman; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
