Dale Cornett

Ronnie Dale Cornett, age 71, of Coleman, died Monday, July 9, 2019, in an Abilene hospital.  Graveside funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, in the Gail Cemetery, Borden County, Texas.  Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman.

Dale was born April 9, 1947, in Lamesa, Texas, a son of the late Joseph Alfred (Bud) Cornett and Willie Vesta Pearce Cornett.  He grew up in Gail where he attended school and graduated from Gail High School.  On February 28, 1975 he married Vickie Sue Barkowsky in Lamesa.  He lived in Ozona for 18 years and moved to Lake Coleman in 2005.  He was a contract pumper.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Cornett; a daughter, Shelley Melissa Hodges of Austin; a son, Kevin Cornett of Mineral Wells; grandson, Evan Cornett; one sister, Rita Jones of Lubbock.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Cornett, and his son, Christopher Cornett.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the donor's favorite charity.
