Deana Louise Anderson

Deana Anderson, age 68, of Coleman, died Monday, March 10, 2014, at an Abilene hospital. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Dean officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 a.m. Thursday until service time. She was born Deana Louise Jones on August 22, 1945 in El Paso, Texas, a daughter of Billy Gene Jones and Betty Slape Jones. She grew up in Coleman and attended school here. On June 12, 1963 she married Matt Anderson in Coleman. Deana was an LVN and worked at the Coleman hospital and Holiday Hill Nursing Home. She was a member of North Coleman Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Chipper Anderson and wife Paula, Billy Anderson and wife Lisa all of Coleman; a daughter, Serena Jenkins and husband Brian of Coleman; five sisters, Sandy McGregor of Hernando, MS, Billie Stanley of Gulfport, MS, Ginger Beard of Huntington, TX, Naomi Ables of Guntown, MS and Leomi Smith of Saltilo, MS; sisters-in-law, Mary Anderson, Ora Jane Anderson and Janet Horton all of Coleman; twelve grandchildren, Luke, Jed, Jason, Brittany, Terry, Sean, Logan, Memorie, Stormi, Derek, Brian and Angel; six great-grandchildren; step-mother, Robbie Jones of Walls, MS.
