Donald Milford Roberts

Donald Milford Roberts, age 78, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 in a Dallas hospital. Graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 20, at the Valera Cemetery, Coleman County, Texas, with Rev. Loyd Hopper officiating. Interment will follow in the Valera Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman, Texas.

Donald Milford Roberts was born December 21, 1936 in Coleman, Texas, a son of Alfred John Roberts and Jessie Mae Bairrington Roberts. He grew up in Valera and attended school at Valera and graduated from Centennial High School in 1955. Following graduation from high school, he attended Draughan's Business College in Abilene. From 1959-1962 he served in the United States Army. On March 21, 1956 he married Mary Horne in Coleman. Following their marriage, they lived in many places including Texas, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico. They settled in Terrell, Texas in 1997. Milford was a salesman and manager for oil field equipment and retired in 2003. He was a member of Saturn Road Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Roberts of Terrell; one son, Wayne Roberts and wife Caran of Terrell; one daughter, Stephanie Lujan; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Roberts and wife Fay of Odessa and William Allen Roberts and wife Bobbie of San Antonio; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Arlin Doyle Roberts.
