Donna F. Ehrler

Donna Bird Ehrler, age 63, of Coleman, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at an Abilene hospital. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18 in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Stanislaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born Donna Fay Bird on August 16, 1949 to Floyd Carroll Bird and Ima Fay Bedford Bird Jones. She moved to Coleman from Breckenridge at the age of nine and attended school in Coleman, graduating from Coleman High School in 1967. On September 1, 1970 she married Tim Ehrler in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Donna graduated from LVN school and worked for several years at Overall-Morris Memorial Hospital (now Coleman County Medical Center) and later for a doctors' clinic in Coleman. She was also a floral designer and worked at several different shops in Coleman. At the time of her death, she was a designer for The Petal Patch in Coleman. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was the best MiMi in the world.

Survivors include her husband, Tim Ehrler of Coleman; daughter, Lisa Watson and husband Mack of Coleman; two grandsons, Brady Hunter and wife Jennifer of Little Elm and Seth Watson of Coleman; two brothers, Buddy Bird of Midland and Jerry Barry and wife Sherri of Burkburnett; sister, Marsha Jones and husband Russ of Flagler Beach, Florida; two step-brothers, Pete Jones of Bangs and Robbie Jones of Sonora; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ted and Jane Ehrler of Coleman.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Bird; her mother, Fay Jones; step-father, Jamie Jones; sister, Carolyn Maddox; niece, Jennifer Bird and nephew, Thumper Davis; her in-laws, Dolphe and Ada B. Ehrler.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas.
