Dorothy Pearl McDonald, 89, of Coleman, died Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Coleman Healthcare Center. There will be a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Harmes officiating. Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Dorothy Pearl McDonald was born on October 25, 1929 in Trent to John William McDonald and Estella May Blankenship McDonald. She moved to Coleman at an early age and graduated from Coleman High School. She kept herself busy by doing crochet and knitting. She had many pen pals that she kept in touch with over the years and enjoyed traveling with her sister and little dogs. Dorothy was a member of Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Pauline McDonald of Coleman; several cousins, including Alice Marie Blankenship Youngblood of Green Forest, Arkansas, Verna Blankenship of Berryville, Arkansas and Tommie Blankenship of Gravette, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant brother, Delbert William McDonald.
