Elia Eulalia Perez, 85, of Coleman, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Coleman County Medical Center. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
She was born Elia Eulalia Andrade, the daughter of Francisco "Frank" Andrade and Eulalia Rosales Andrade, on April 3, 1929 in Coleman. She grew up and attended school in Coleman. On November 15, 1953, she married Raul Perez in Coleman. She was the choir leader and a teacher at her church and worked as a missionary at Holiday Hill. She was a member of the Baptist Church Mission.
Survivors include her husband, Raul Perez of Coleman; five children, Eli Perez of Missouri, Frank Perez of North Carolina, Emma Perez of Brownwood, Sylvia Perez of Coleman, Dora Hayden of Oregon; one brother, Johnny Andrade and wife, Alice, of San Angelo, seven grandchildren, Claude Murphy, Selena Perez, Rebecca Perez, James Murphy, Crystal Hayden, Katie Hayden, Shawn Hayden; seven great-grandchildren; cousins, Freddy and Rachel Martinez and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Mike Andrade and a nephew, Sammy Andrade, preceded her in death.
Family visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Stevens Funeral Home.
