Elsie (Snedegar) Lee

Elsie Lee, age 99, of Coleman, died Monday, September 17, 2018, at Coleman County Medical Center.  Graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Dr. Chas Shira, pastor of First Baptist Church, Coleman, officiating.   Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman.

She was born Elsie Mae Snedegar on September 5, 1919, in Gouldbusk, Texas, the daughter of John Snedegar and Millie Wardlow Snedegar Holt.  She grew up in Gouldbusk where she also attended school.  On May 15, 1939 she married Ray Lee in Santa Anna and he preceded her in death on January 7, 1989.  Following her marriage,  Elsie moved to Coleman and has lived here since that time.  She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include one brother, Fred Holt and wife Eileen of Boerne, Texas.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
