Eula Mae Culwell, age 56, of Novice, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the Rough Creek Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. John Stanislaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Rough Creek Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
She was born Eula Mae Plummer on January 13, 1958, in Brownwood, Texas, a daughter of Emory Whitcher Plummer and Myrtle Mae Paul Plummer. She grew up in Novice where she graduated high school. On December 18, 1984 she married Jim Bob Culwell in Ballinger. Eula Mae was a secretary and bookkeeper and before becoming ill, worked at Trinity Structural Towers. She was a member of Novice Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Bob Culwell of Novice; three sons, Brian and Missy Culwell of Santa Anna, Cody and Jennifer Culwell and Scott and Jody Culwell of Novice; four brothers, Joe and wife Raylene Plummer of Novice, John Plummer of Coleman, Waine and Nancy Pilkington and Dyke Plummer; two sisters, Theresa and husband Darrell Gregory of Austin and Nona Jean Plummer; father-in-law, James E. Culwell of Novice; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann and husband Charles McClain of San Angelo; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Kevin Scott Culwell, and her mother-in-law, Margaret Culwell.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman.
