George David Osburn

George Osburn, age 65, of Coleman, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Coleman Health Care Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.



He was born George David Osburn, Jr. on January 26, 1948 in Fort Worth, Texas, a son of George David Osburn, Sr. and Doris Worley Osburn. He was reared in Fort Worth and attended school in Fort Worth. After graduation, George attended Texas Christian University. He married Linda McIntire on March 7, 1970 in Fort Worth, and she preceded him in death on March 17, 1992. George then married Shirley Roberts on February 17, 1995 at the United Christian and Presbyterian Church in Coleman. George was a dietician and food service director at Ranger Park Nursing Home in Santa Anna, and then later at Overall-Morris Memorial Hospital and Coleman County Medical Center for many years.



He is survived by his wife, Shirley Osburn of Coleman; two daughters, Rhanda Treace and husband Rob of Bedford, Ohio and Michelle Collier and husband Ray of Capitan, New Mexico; and six grandchildren, Cheyenne Treace, Tyler Treace, DaKota Collier, Elizabeth Collier, Sierra Collier, and Jacob Collier.
