Glenda Sue Schulle Brooker, age 78, of Coleman, died Friday, December 17, 2021, at her residence.
The family will host a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are invited to a graveside funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the Santa Anna Cemetery Pavilion with Rev Seth Moore, pastor of Hords Creek Cowboy Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Santa Anna Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
She was born August 24, 1943, in Santa Anna, Texas to Glen Schulle and Nadell Croft Schulle. Glenda Sue grew up in Coleman where she attended school. She married Henry Vern Brooker on October 22, 1960, in Coleman. She worked for Dry’s and Stemple Manufacturing. Glenda Sue loved playing bingo, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and had a green thumb for plants and flowers. She had a heart of gold and loved her family immensely. Her favorite times were spent with her family. When she earned the name “Nana” her love grew even more. Glenda Sue loved her children and grandchildren so much and gave them much wisdom and life lessons. She was a life-long resident of Coleman County and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Nadell Schulle, and her husband, Henry Brooker.
Glenda Sue is survived by her children, Michael Brooker and wife Thelma of Santa Anna, Lisa Moore and husband Tony of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, and Darla Johnson and husband Michael of Coleman; four grandchildren, Derek Johnson, Krista Evans, Shaedin Row, Raelie Johnson; numerous step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Linda Lyles and husband Don of Brownwood.
