Harold Guinn Crowder

April 22, 1931 — January 23, 2015

Harold Guinn Crowder, age 83, of Coleman, died Friday, January 23, 2015 at Coleman County Medical Center. A combined funeral service with his wife, Margie, will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dick Schultz officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Harold was born on April 22, 1931 in Coleman, a son of Willie Jodie Crowder and Leda Grace Wardlow Crowder. He grew up in Coleman where he also attended school. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in California. Following his honorable discharge from the military, he lived in California for a few years before returning to live in Coleman in 1961. Harold was a paint and body repairman, working for Odom and Charles Armstrong. He also worked at Findley Monument Company. In 1983 he married Margie Davis. He was Assembly of God.

Survivors include three children, Jimmy Crowder and wife Tammy of Coronado's Camp, Cynthia Carraway and husband Ira of Coleman and Danny Wayne Crowder of Coleman; three step-sons, Alan Wayne Meadows and wife Selinda of Liberty Hill, Steven Bennet Meadows and special friend Timorah Andrade of Coleman and Darrell Glenn Fletcher and wife Opal of Coleman; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jim Leonard of Brigham City, Utah, Juanita Baker of Coleman, Mary Ann Crowder Herring and husband Travis of Lometa, Freddie Paul Crowder of Coleman and Velva Dean Crowder Crawford and husband Jessie of Garland; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marla May Crowder and a brother, Gerald Lynn Crowder.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas.
