Graveside funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Coleman Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. John Stanislaw officiating. Helen was born March 26, 1921 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Fred and Annie Bull. She grew up on her parent's dairy farm and attended school in Aberdeen through high school graduation. She attended business college and developed her skills as a secretary. She then worked for a couple of businessed in Aberdeen before going to work for the Department of Agriculture in New York, Washington, D.C. and Denver. While in Denver she met Dick Klapper and they were married May 10, 1946 in Denver. They moved to Borger, Texas. Although she lost Dick in 1975, Helen continued to live in Borger until July 2009 when she moved to Estes Park, Colorado to the Good Samaritan Assisted Living facility. She lived there until her death. and later worked for She is survived by two sons, Richard and Linda Klapper of Alvin, Texas, Fred and Pam Klapper of Spartanurg, S.C. and one grandson, Andrew Klapper of Spartanburg.
