Herman Lincoln Walker

Herman L. Walker, 69, of Coleman, died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at his residence. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Tye Cemetery in Tye. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman.

Herman L. Walker was born December 26, 1945 in Lampasas, Texas to Herman Lincoln, Sr. and Nadine Jinsey Spivey. He grew up in Lampasas and graduated from high school there. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. On November 11, 1988, he married Georgia Searles in Abilene.

Herman was a truck driver all of his life. He worked for Coca-Cola in Big Spring and later worked for P.A.M. Transport as an over the road long haul driver. Herman moved to from Tye to Coleman in 2011.

Survivors include six children, Debbie Rosales and husband, Silver, of Coleman, Randy Walker and wife, Kim, of Fort Worth, Kande Flowers and husband, Michael, of Corsicana, Kristy Lee and husband, Eric, of Clyde, Jim Bowen, Jr. and wife, Mistelle, of Desoto, Brian Bowen of Garland; two sisters, Linda Johnson and husband, Gary, of Lampasas, Patsy Ford of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; seven grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Georgia, on October 6, 2010.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.
