Ima Love Seals Bond, age 93, of Fort Worth, died Saturday, June 5, 2021, at her residence.
The family will host a visitation starting at 1:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Chas Shira, pastor of First Baptist, officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
Ima Love was born July 13, 1927, in Coleman to Wiley Loyd Seals and Novie Etta Gilliam Seals. She grew up in Coleman where she attended school. Ima married William Roy Bond, Jr. in 1945 in Coleman. They lived in Coleman, Abilene, Irving, Haslet, and Fort Worth. She was a member of the Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving where Ima taught Sunday School for many years and later attended First Baptist Church in Coleman. Ima was a homemaker taking great pride in caring for her family. She was a marvelous cook and she loved to entertain. Her most important role was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Ima’s love and kindness will forever be in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind an amazing legacy for her daughter and granddaughter. Ima will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding Ima in death are her parents, Wiley and Novie Seals; her husband, William Roy Bond, Jr.; and her brother, Thelbert Seals.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Mauldin and husband Scott of Haslet; her granddaughter, Bailee Mauldin of Haslet; her sister, Barbara Vinson and husband Joe of Houston; brother-in-law, Guy Bond and wife Joan of San Angelo; and sister-in-law, Reba Jo Atkins of Georgetown.
Memorials are suggested in memory of Ima to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
Pallbearers will be Scott Mauldin, Chas Campbell, Bailee Mauldin, Bryan Vinson, Ben Vinson, and Keith Vinson. The funeral service will be live streamed and available to view for 90 days.
