Irene Rios Perez

Irene Rios Perez, 64, of Coleman died January 7, 2014 in Coleman County. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born on May 17, 1949 in Wall, Texas to Henry and Mary Gauna Rios. She attended school at Wall and Big Spring. She spent her time raising her boys, taking care of her grandchildren and looking after her father. She moved to Coleman from Big Spring in 2011.

Survivors include her boyfriend, Larry Ward of Coleman; her father, Henry Rios of Knott; three sons, Jimmy Alatorre and wife, Aida, of San Angelo, Dean Brock and wife, Margarita, of Junction, Paul Torres of Knott; six brothers and sisters, Henry Rios of Junction, Leon Rios and wife, Yolanda, of Hereford, Tony Rios and wife, Lisa, of Junction, David Rios of Big Spring, Virginia Alvarenga and husband, Sammy, of Carlsbad, Olga Perches and husband, Alonzo, of Knott; an aunt, Maria Perez of San Angelo; a great aunt, Sara Ramos of Brownwood; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and ex-daughter-in-law, Anita Alatorre of Midland and her daughters, Lena and Linda.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Rios and one son, Leon Torres.

Family visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
