Jack Paul Dillingham, 73, of Santa Anna, died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Coleman County Medical Center. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, with Rev. Brad Slaten officiating, assisted by Rev. Alan Wallace. Burial will be in the Shields Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Jack Paul Dillingham was born November 5, 1940 at Seeley Hospital in Santa Anna, the son of Jack Dillingham and Dororthy Akins Dillingham. He grew up in the Shields community and attended school at Shields and graduated from Santa Anna High School. He then attended and graduated in 1964 from Howard-Payne College, now Howard-Payne University in Brownwood. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Jack worked as Finance Manager in Dallas for several companies. When he retired in 1985, he moved back to Santa Anna and started farming and ranching. On November 16, 1986, he married Evelyn Matthews in Santa Anna. She preceded him in death on April 24, 2010.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Audra and Brad Paty of Ovilla; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Diann Dillingham of Coleman; one grandson, Braedyn Paty of Ovilla; one step-daughter, Pamela Longly of Fort Worth and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his wife Evelyn, Jack was preceded in death by two sons, Troy Dillingham and Paul Dillingham.
Family visitation will be Monday, December 2, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home.
