James E. Culwell

James E. Culwell, 92, of Novice, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at his residence. No services were held. Burial was in the Rough Creek Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

James E. Culwell was born March 30, 1922 in Terry County to Winifred Eunice Culwell and Ollye Ruth Jones Culwell. He grew up in Terry and Parker Counties. On August 20, 1938, he married Margaret Marzee Reynolds in Jacksboro. Mr. Culwell owned and operated a dairy Parker County and was also a carpenter. He moved to Novice in 1990 from San Angelo and was a member of Novice Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Ann McClain of San Angelo; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret on January 9, 2000; one brother, Glennon Culwell and one son, Jim Bob Culwell.
