James Carl Scott, Sr., 61, of Bastrop, Texas, died Thursday, March 22, 2018, on his birthday, in Clifton Forge, Virginia. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
He was born on March 22, 1957, in Sacramento, California, to James and Hazel Scott. After his mother’s death, the family moved to Santa Anna, Texas, where Carl grew up and attended school. He was a truck driver for most of his life and was doing that at the time of his death. He had his fur baby “MooMoo,” who went everywhere with him, and was by his side in the truck.
Survivors include one son, James Carl Scott, Jr., of Modesto, California; three brothers, James Edward Scott, Jr. and Larry Scott both of California, and Paul Scott, Sr., of Brady; two sisters, Marie Moore of Virginia and Tina Scott Watson of Santa Anna; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
