Jerilyn Kaye Wagner

Jerilyn Kaye Ewing Wagner, age 57, of Santa Anna, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013, in Coleman. Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 27 at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Bobby Machen officiating.


Jerilyn was born May 11, 1956 to Arvella Simpson and the late Jerry Ewing. She graduated from Mozelle High School in 1975. Jerilyn was a homemaker and loved working with her plants in her greenhouse and back yard.


She was always ready to take care of everyone else and was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and sister. Her life revolved around her family.


Jerilyn was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Ewing; a close uncle, Dan Simpson, and cousin, Todd Simpson; maternal grandparents, Orval and Elsie Simpson and paternal grandparents, Jack and Opal Ewing and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.


She is survived by the love of her life of 37 years, Karl Wagner of Santa Anna; one son, Jason Lee Wagner of Austin; her mother, Arvella Simpson of Coleman; two brothers, Matt Ewing and wife Tracy of Bulverde, Monty Ewing and wife Julia of Burleson; nieces, Mindy Ewing of San Angelo, Lexie Ewing Schumann and husband Riley of Doole, Nikkie Ewing of San Angelo, Andrea Creed and husband Bill of Quinlan; nephews, Travis Ewing of San Antonio, Curtis Ewing of Abilene, a brother-in-law, Mark Wagner of San Marcos and nephew, Johnathan Wagner of San Angelo; aunt, Lola Simpson, a special cousin, Tammy Simpson Kirkland and several other cousins also survive.


Family visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service, at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas 76834.
