Jesse Graviel Jauregui, age 69, of Coleman, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 at an Abilene hospital. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1 in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Norman Lapinski officiating. Burial will follow in the Burkett Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Jesse was born December 3, 1943 in Randolph, Wisconsin, a son of Peter Jauregui and Mary Lenarez Jauregui. He grew up in Randolph, Wisconsin where he attended school. In 1961 he married Connie Martinez in Juneau, Wisconsin. Following their marriage, they lived in Chicago for several years and then in Waukesha for two years before moving to Coleman in 1968. Jesse worked at Taylor Motor Company for many years. He retired from the City of Coleman where he was employed as a mechanic. He was a member of the Assemblies of God and attended Jesus Saves Ministries.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Jauregui of Coleman; six children, Mary Angela Orange and husband Doran of Austin, Myra Yvonne Lapinski and husband Norman of Chicago, Bridget Michelle Herrera and husband Ernest of Taylor, Jesse Jauregui, Jr. and wife Isabel of Abilene, Starsky G. Jauregui of Tyler, Justin Randall of Taylor; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; four brothers, Roger Jauregui of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, JohnnyJauregui of Chicago, Joe and Fidencio Jauregui both of Waukesha, Wisconsin; three sisters, Betty Salinas, Mary Jane Gonzales and Pauline Patlan, all of Waukesha, Wisconsin; two half-brothers, Joe and Juan Jauregui; four step-sisters and one step-brother; former daughter-in-law, Christina Jauregui of Dublin, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Jauregui.
There will be a service/visitation at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas.
