Jimmie Ruth Brooks Hubbard was born in Overall-Morris Memorial Hospital on June 7, 1940 to James Vernon Brooks and Ruth Elaine Gillespie Brooks. At the age of 76, Jesus took her home to Heaven after holding her close for many years of sicknesses and surgeries. On September 12, 2016, Jesus freed her of these afflictions and is now celebrating a joyous reunion in paradise with her parents, grandparents and other precious family members; and singing praises to the Lord with the Heavenly Angels.

She served in several offices for the Coleman Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for many years. As member of First Baptist Church, she taught Koinina and Unity Sunday school classes for several years, served on various committees and was active in the church choir.
