Jo Nell Dunlap Boyle, age 85, of Coleman, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at Coleman County Medical Center. Graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 24, at the Pavilion at Burkett Cemetery with David Wallace officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Burkett Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman, Texas.
She was born November 12, 1929 in Sidney, Texas, a daughter of Jess Dunlap and Madie Phillips Dunlap. She grew up in Gustine and Cross Plains and attended school in Cross Plains. On September 1, 1946, she married Garvice A. Boyle in Cross Plains and he preceded her in death on November 20, 2008. Following her marriage, she was a resident of Coleman County until the time of her death. Jo Nell was a supervisor at Stemple Manufacturing for many years. She was also a rancher and a Baptist but she attended the Burkett Church of Christ. She was a dedicated wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. Jo Nell was a great friend to many people and checked on her friends often, cheering them with her phone calls. She enjoyed attending the Coleman Senior Center.
She is survived by her children, Jody Guthrie and husband Larry of Coleman and Daryl Boyle and wife Cindy of Burkett; five grandchildren, Glenn Guthrie and wife Kim, Tommy Guthrie and wife Debra, Matthew Boyle and wife Jonna, Shannon Whittington and husband Justin, and Kimberly Harris Sims; 12 great-grandchildren; a niece, Dena Johnson of Houma, Louisiana and a sister-in-law, Sarah Boyle of Coleman.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Harris and a great-grandson, Caden Aaron Boyle.

A visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan, Coleman, Texas 76834.
