Jordan Lee Dean

May 20, 1992 — February 24, 2025

Santa Anna

Jordan Lee Dean, born May 20, 1992, in Brownwood, Texas, passed into life eternal Monday, February 24, 2025, in Dalhart, Texas.

At the age of three, after a brief time in foster care, Jordan along with his brother Jonathan and sister Joanie, found their forever home with Roddy and Debbie Dean in Santa Anna, Texas. Their adoption marked the beginning of a life rooted in family and the simple joys of country living.

Growing up on the family farm fondly known as “Santa Anna Country,” Jordan embraced the outdoors. He learned to hunt, fish, and farm, spending countless hours at the family deer lease or Santa Anna Lake. His days were filled with the rhythms of rural life: tending cows, gathering eggs, mending fences, and chasing goats. Above all, Jordan cherished his family and friends, possessing a warm spirit that effortlessly drew people to him.

Jordan’s education at Santa Anna ISD from kindergarten to high school was a testament to his community ties. He found joy in football, proudly serving as the team’s manager, and he later graduated from Santa Anna High School in 2010.

In October 2001, Jordan dedicated his life to Christ and was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Santa Anna. He and his siblings were blessed to be raised in and by a supportive and loving faith community.

As a young adult, Jordan demonstrated a natural aptitude for mechanics. Though he found traditional academics challenging, he excelled at hands on trades. He became a skilled handyman, finding solace and satisfaction in working on his old pick-up truck, farm equipment, and any other vehicle that crossed his path. His love for the outdoors continued into adulthood, particularly in his work at the Coleman County Livestock Auction, in Coleman, Texas.

Jordan’s greatest joys came from his daughters, Layla Renae and Georgia Mae. He treasured them deeply and eagerly awaited the day when they would be reunited. He also shared many precious years with the love of his life, Fallon Fox. Though her life was cut tragically short from cancer, we find comfort in the belief that she was there ready to welcome him home at the end of his journey. Jordan will be remembered for his gentle demeanor and his warm, radiant smile.

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Layla and Georgia; his devoted parents, Roddy and Debbie Dean of Santa Anna, Texas; his siblings: Jonathan Dean and Frediena of Santa Anna, Texas; Joanie Dean of Menard, Texas; Jessica Cantu of Coleman, Texas; Jason Dean and Bethany of Georgetown, Texas; Julie Easley and Clint of Llano, Texas; Mayra Borel and Chuck of Santa Anna, Texas; Bianca Ruth and Michael of Santa Anna, Texas; and Adelaida Aguirre and Jose of New Braunfels, Texas; biological father, Guy Evans of Coleman, Texas; as well as numerous cherished nieces and nephews.

Jordan was preceded in death by his significant other, Fallon Fox; his grandmother, Sybil “Grammy” Dean Eubank; and his grandparents, Fredna “Grannie” Horton and Rondoe “Paw Paw” Horton.

Funeral arrangements are pending at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

The family requests with gratitude that memorials be made to the Coleman Senior Center in honor of his Grannie, Fredna Horton, P.O. Box 785, Coleman, Texas 76834.
