Kathy Marie Flanagan

September 28, 1955 — April 13, 2025

Coleman

Kathy Flanagan, age 69, was called home on April 13, 2025, in Coleman, Texas after a courageous battle with cancer. Heaven’s gates open wide today to welcome Kathy home.

Kathy was born September 28, 1955, in San Angelo, Texas. She was the first bundle of joy born to Charles and Kay Flanagan.

Kathy grew up in Midkiff and Rankin, Texas. She moved to Coleman, Texas in 1993 and started a career in dietary. Kathy went to work at Holiday Hill Nursing Home in the kitchen cooking for our older generation. She later went on to work for Novice ISD and was there for 12 years. She loved every single minute that she was there. She loved telling stories of all the children she watched growing up during that time. She made her way to work in the local convenience stores here in Coleman. You could find her smiling at Buddy’s Kwik Stop and both Allsup’s stores we had in town. She loved people and so enjoyed giving her customers a hard time and loved to be on the receiving end of that also. Kathy’s smile could brighten up any room or place.

Kathy enjoyed fishing and camping with the family and playing cards and games with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by daughter, Prula Cisneros and husband Travis of Coleman, and son, George Ferguson and wife Christy of Coleman.

Grandchildren, Peyton Cochran and husband Jesse of Bronte, Texas, Randon Eubanks and girlfriend Tiffany of San Angelo, Texas, Kaylynn O’Leary and husband Dylan of Winters, Texas, Carli, Maddison, and Bayli Ferguson of Coleman, Texas.

Great-grandchildren, Briston Eubanks of Bronte, Ray and Taylor of San Angelo, Grayson and Holden of Winters, Kaisen, River, and Everlee of Coleman, Texas.

She is also survived by one brother and two sisters.

Kathy was an amazing Mom, GiGi, Aunt, Sister, and Friend. She will be missed greatly by all who have their paths pass with hers. Upon request there will not be any services. The family will hold a private memorial later.

We wanted to thank the hospice nurses that cared for Kathy with such warmth and care.

The family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in memory of Kathy be made to the Coleman Humane Society, 108 E. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas 76834.

We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the Flanagan family by signing the guestbook on Kathy’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com.

Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
