Kenneth Dale Morris

Kenneth Dale Morris, 76, of Lake Coleman, died Friday, September 4, 2015 at his residence. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan, Coleman, with Taylor Davis officiating. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Kenneth Dale Morris was born August 5, 1939 in Brownfield, Texas to Allen D. Morris and Nina Belle Adams Morris. He grew up in Midland and attended Midland High School. We worked as an oil field supervisor for Occidental Petroleum Corporation and was also owner/operator of KMT Trucking, with his faithful companion, Goober, traveling many miles with him at his side. Kenneth moved to Lake Coleman in 2006 from Andrews. He was a past director of the Lake Coleman Volunteer Fire Department and attended the Lake Coleman Bible Study.

Survivors include two children, Carlton Craig Morris and wife, Lori, of Abilene, Laura Diane Morris of Midland; two brothers, Russell Allen Morris and wife, Benay, of Port Isabel, Larry Van Morris and wife Jacqueline, of Longview; four grandchildren, Mandi Rubio and husband, Victor, of Spring, Christopher Craig Morris and wife, Britny, of Abilene, Meagan Wallace and husband, Stephen, of Abilene, Abbey Morris of Canyon; six great grandchildren, and family friend, Etta Long.

Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by a sister, Carol June Graves.
