LaDell Morris

LaDell Morris, 80, of Santa Anna, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at her residence. Graveside funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Santa Anna Cemetery Pavilion with Sam Wilson officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman.

She was born Edira LaDell Hall on March 25, 1935 in Brownwood to Hiram Eddie Hall and Mattie Beatrice Gilbert Hall. She grew up in Santa Anna and graduated from Santa Anna High School in 1953. On September 14, 1956, she married Marion E. "Boots" Morris in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Dell spent most of her life in Coleman County. She worked in the oil field as a pumper and was a member of the Cleveland Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, James Edward Morris and William E. "Charlie" Morris, both of Santa Anna; one daughter, Elizabeth LaQuinn Morris of Santa Anna and one brother, Orvel E. Hall of Santa Anna.

Besides her parents, Dell was preceded in death by her husband, Boots, on May 4, 1990, and one brother, Edwin Hall.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.
