Layton Dean Lusk, 57, of Coleman, Texas, was called home to heaven on Monday, October 10, 2016. A memorial service is being planned for early November.
Layton was born on March 31, 1959 in Anaheim, California to Durwood Lusk and Ernestine Ray Lusk. Layton spent his childhood in the California sunshine and later moved to Texas in his teenage years. He spent many years working in oil fields across the world. His work in the oil industry led him to adventures in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Dubai, Thailand, Hong Kong and many other spectacular sites. Layton was a history buff and automobile enthusiast. He loved nothing more than tinkering on classic cars and restoring them to their original beauty. Layton never met a stranger and had a multitude of friendships all over the world. He had a caring heart and helped anyone in need.
Layton was preceded in death by his father, Durwood Lusk, his mother, Ernestine Ray Lusk, and his brother, Kempston Durwood "Butchie" Lusk, Jr.
Layton lives on through his survivors, Jeannie Lusk of Lockhart, Texas, daughter, Lindsey Lusk Corley and her husband Travis, of Austin, Texas, son Jared Lusk, of Dallas, Texas, sister Linda Lusk Sanders, of San Antonio, Texas, brother Layne Lusk, of Chandler, Oklahoma, 3 step-daughters, grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
