Lorena Cullins

October 7, 1925 — June 27, 2016

Lorena Cullins, age 90, of Coleman, died Monday, June 27, 2016 in Granbury, Texas.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Stevens Funeral Home
Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman, with Bro. John Stanislaw, pastor of First
Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at the Coleman City Cemetery under
the direction of Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

She was born Lorena Maye Simmons on October 7, 1925 in Valera, Texas to John
Warnock Simmons and Ruby Lee Forman Simmons. Lorena attended school at Valera
and graduated from Centennial High School in 1943. She married Arvel Cullins on
March 21, 1943 living in Lawn for several years. They moved to Coleman in 1959 where
Lorena was a bookkeeper at Coleman County State Bank, retiring in 1990. Lorena was a
member of the First Baptist Church in Coleman where she attended the Lydia Sunday
School Class, the Triple L Club, and volunteered at the church library for twenty eight
years. Lorena also volunteered for the American Heart Association for twenty years.

Lorena is preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Mildred Kinney and Laverne
Parrott; and one brother, Damon Simmons.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Ann Roberts and husband Johnny of Granbury;
two grandchildren, Rhonda Roberts Anderson of Flower Mound and Randall Scott
Roberts and wife Leah of Fort Worth; five great-grandchildren, Kelsey Ann Shonk of
Flower Mound, Ryan Scott Roberts and Miranda Roberts of Fort Worth, Jake Anderson
and Collin Anderson of Flower Mound.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29,
2016 at Stevens Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials in memory of Lorena to the American Heart Association
