Margie Ann Crowder

Margie Ann Crowder, age 73, of Coleman, died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Hendrick Medical Center. A combined funeral service with her husband, Harold, will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dick Schultz officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born Margie Ann Davis on July 10, 1941 in Menard, Texas, a daughter of Lee Thomas Davis and Vinnie Mae Hawkins Davis. She grew up in Menard and attended school there. In 1967 she moved to Coleman where she worked as a nurse's aide at Holiday Hill Nursing Home and later as a home health aide. In 1983 she married Harold Crowder and he preceded her in death one day, on January 23, 2015. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include three sons, Alan Wayne Meadows and wife Selinda of Liberty Hill, Steven Bennet Meadows and special friend Timorah Andrade of Coleman and Darrell Glenn Fletcher and wife Opal of Coleman; eleven grandchildren, Christopher and Josh Meadows, Lindsey Wood, Ashley Arellano, Rebecca Leone, Clifton Blaine, Kendra Blaine, Stephen Bennett Meadows, Jr., Kelly Fletcher, Kathy Fletcher and Patricia Conner; one brother, Henry Davis and wife Jo of London, Texas; half-brother, Gary Dean of San Angelo; half-sister, Patricia Davis of San Angelo; three step-children, Jimmy Crowder and wife Tammy of Coronado's Camp, Cynthia Carraway and husband Ira of Coleman and Danny Wayne Crowder of Coleman.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and son, Cynthia Blaine and Elgene Fletcher, Jr., a granddaughter, Kimberly Fletcher, a grandson, Weston Meadows and a step-daughter, Marla May Crowder, brothers and sisters, Etta Durham, Mabelee Cockerell, Ben Davis, Wilburn Davis, Ofleta Carraway, and Tooter Davis.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas.
