Mark Wayne Jenkins

Mark Wayne Jenkins, 61, of Sherman, died Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.  Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. David Jenkins officiating.  Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Mark Wayne Jenkins was born December 14, 1956 in Santa Anna to Wayne B. Jenkins and Anna Mae Slaughter Jenkins.  He grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School.  He then attended Angelo State University in San Angelo, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Music Education.  On April 10, 1982, Mark married Terry Vincent in Monahans.  Mark and Terry moved to Sherman in 1996, where he was an instrument repairman and was a member of Grayson Bible Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Terry Jenkins of Sherman; four children, Rebecca Jenkins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, John Mark Jenkins of Denison, Sara Jenkins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Timothy Jenkins of Sherman; his father, Wayne Jenkins of Coleman; one brother, David Jenkins of Slayton; two sisters, Lisa Tillman of Coleman; Elizabeth Strebeck of Orange and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Mae Jenkins on October 31, 2017.
