Marty Rambo

Marty Rambo, age 55, died Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22 in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.


Marty was born September 20, 1957 in Brownwood, Texas, a son of Jackie Barnett and Charlene Kenney Barnett. He grew up in Coleman where he attended school. He served in the United States Army. He had worked as a steel erector for Bolton's. He also worked in maintenance at Holiday Hill Nursing Home. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.


He is survived by one daughter, Bambi Rambo of Coleman; one son, Dakota Rambo of Arizona; his mother, Charlene Barnett of Coleman; five brothers, John Rambo of Abilene, Charles Rambo, Ricky Rambo, Wiley Rambo all of Coleman and Jackie Barnett of Abilene; two sisters, Carla Lobstein and Robin Longley both of Coleman; one granddaughter, Makenna Edwards of Coleman; numerous nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan, Coleman, Texas.
