Mary Lee Pryor

Mary Pryor, age 97, of Coleman, died Monday, January 29, 2018 at Holiday Hill Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor Kathy Monroe, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Anna, officiating. Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

She was born Mary Lee Smith on January 10, 1921 in Woodson, Texas to Walter Smith and Oma Kirby Smith. Mary was reared in Woodson and graduated from Woodson High School. She married Ed Pryor in Iowa Park, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1982. Mary moved to Coleman in 1995 from Midland. She loved to fish, tending to her garden, and being outdoors. Mary attended the Methodist Church.

Mary is also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Buddy Edmiston and Keith Edmiston; and by several of her siblings.

Mary is survived by two sons, Ron Edmiston and wife Gloria of Coleman, and Gayland Edmiston and wife Teri of Santa Anna; one sister, Lois Chalk of Abilene; and one brother, Roy Smith of Miles; four grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
