Michael A. Ring

Michael A. Ring, Sr., age 71, of Coleman, died Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Holiday Hill Nursing Home. A service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at the Coleman Cemetery Pavilion with Brother Kevin Roman, pastor of Valera Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Michael A. Ring, Sr. was born on December 31, 1945, in El Reno, Oklahoma, a son of Henry and Maudie Gayle Hazel Ring. He grew up in Bethany, Oklahoma where he also attended school. He moved to Coleman about a year ago after living in Groesbeck for several years. He was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by five children, Elizabeth Gayle Stuart of Valera, Scott Stratton of Hutto, Michael Allen Ring, Jr. of San Antonio, Jamerson Duke Ring of California and Franklin Lee Ring of Groesbeck; one brother, James Leslie “Pat” Ring of El Reno, Oklahoma; one sister, Peggy Lynn Bailey of Chickasaw, Oklahoma; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Bruce Ring.
