Nina Marie Aydelotte, 88, of Coleman, died Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Coleman County Medical Center.
She was born Nina Marie Smith on November 26, 1926 to Lee Smith and Hattie Mae Sorrels Smith. She grew up in Coleman County and attended school at Jim Ned. On November 27, 1957, she married Eugene Frank Aydelotte in Coleman. She worked as a waitress at Conger's CafAC. for a short time. Nina loved being and working outside, whether it was tending her flower garden, going to garage sales or taking care of animals. Nina was also very active at Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she has been a member since 2005.
Survivors include three children, Jimmy Aydelotte of Coleman, Billie Jean Tune of Coleman, Phyllis Miller of Coleman; two grandchildren, Carla Elaine Marquez of Odessa, Kenneth Lee Miller of Coleman and one great of grandson, Stephen Wilson of Haltom City.
She was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Clevenger; six brothers and sisters, Marlin Wayne Smith, Alvin Eugene Smith, Avalee Smith, Kenneth James Smith, J.C. Smith and Eva Mae Farmer.
Visitation with the family will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the ASPCA, Shriner's Hospital for Children or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
