Nina Reynolds, 83, of Coleman, died August 2, 2017 at Coleman County Medical Center. She was born Nina Jean Carter on November 5, 1933 in Midland to Bill T. and Gertrude Clapp Carter. She grew up and attended school in Hobbs, New Mexico and graduated from Hardin-Simmons University. On July 23, 1954, she married Rex Reynolds in Hobbs, New Mexico. Mrs. Reynolds taught Special Education in Hamlin for many years and also taught Sunday School in Hamlin. She was very active in church activities and enjoyed cooking. She and Rex moved to Coleman in 1998.
Survivors include her husband, Rex Reynolds of Coleman; two sons, Luke Reynolds and wife, Janice, of Sanger, Dr. Paul Reynolds and wife, Becki, of Coleman; five grandchildren, Reagan Wilty, Sydney Deal, Jack Reynolds, Amory Hitt, Alyssa Harmon; five great grandchildren, one niece, Joy Horton and one nephew, Randy Carter.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.
