Noda Lucinda (Moore) Simpson

Noda Lucinda Simpson, age 85, of Coleman, died Sunday, September 22, 2019 at her residence in Coleman.

She was born Noda Lucinda Moore on September 19, 1934 in Fife, Texas to Gaston Moore and Lottie Cagle Moore.  Noda grew up in Lohn and Melvin and graduated from Melvin High School.  She married Jimmy Don Simpson on September 29, 1967 in Brady, Texas.  He preceded her in death on October 15, 2016.  Noda was a homemaker, bank teller, nursing home activity director, and bookkeeper.  She attended the Elm Street Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children, Dottie Howard of Coleman; Billy Simpson and wife Penny of Willis; Carla Huie and husband David of Lohn; Austin Simpson and wife Amy of Lohn; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Lohn Cemetery in Lohn, Texas.  Services and cremation arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.
