Odelia (Duran) Martinez

Odelia Martinez, age 81, of Coleman, died Friday, July 9, 2021, at Medical City North Hills in North Richland Hills, Texas.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.  A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Sonora City Cemetery.  Interment will follow with services entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

She was born Odelia Duran on June 23, 1940, in Sonora, Texas to Miguel and Romana Duran.  She grew up in Sonora and married Frank Martinez on February 6, 1958, in Sonora.  Frank and Odelia relocated to Coleman in 1964.  Odelia was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coleman.

Odelia is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Martinez; and two sisters, Delia Esquivel and Tonie Martinez.

She is survived by her children, Delma Duran Martinez of Coleman, and Frank Martinez, Jr. and wife Kathryn of Fort Worth; her brother, Miguel Duran, Jr. of Fort Worth; and her sister, Amanda Garza of Sonora.
