Oleta Mobley

Oleta Mobley, 96, of Santa Anna, has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Nothside Baptist Church, 706 Avenue B, Santa Anna with Rev. Marvin Hale officiating, assisted by Pastor Leslie Davidson. Burial will follow in the Rockwood Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born Oleta L. McIlvain, the daughter of Samuel McIlvain and Kate Johnson McIlvain. She grew up in Rockwood and attended school there. She later attended Tarleton State University and Southwest Texas State. She married Robert Maness Mobley on April 26, 1946. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1975. She taught school in Odessa, Ft. Stockton and San Angelo. She was a member of First United Methodist Church Santa Anna.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Shirley Mobley of Santa Anna and three nieces, Leslie Davidson of Big Lake, Sharon Lee of Cisco and Carolyn Williams of Houston.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Mobley is preceded in death by three sisters, Wilma Williams, Dorothy McSwain and Sammie McCreary.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan, Coleman.
