Patricia A. Hibbert, age 73, of Abilene, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Hendrick Medical Center. Graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 7, at the Jayton Cemetery in Jayton, Texas, with Rev. Sam Earp, her brother-in-law, officiating. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman.
She was born Patricia Ann Crabb on January 23, 1947, in Tahoka, Lynn County, Texas, a daughter of Walter Henry Crabb and Gracie Elizabeth Adams Crabb. As a child, she moved with her family to McCauley and then to Hamlin where she attended school. She was married to Glenn Hibbert in 1974 and they lived in Breckenridge following their marriage. Patricia worked as an aide in nursing homes in Abilene, Breckenridge, Stephenville and Seymour. While living in the nursing home and as long as her health permitted, she enjoyed attending arts and crafts classes as well as therapy and exercise classes. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Hamlin.
Patricia was preceded in death by her infant son, Clifford Glenn Hibbert, her parents, husband, and three sisters, Juanita Wilson, Louise Perry and Elizabeth Shedd as well as her stillborn twin sister.
She is survived by three brothers, Arthur Crabb of Sanders, Arizona, Thomas Crabb and wife Marsha of Hico, Clarence Crabb and wife Terri of Ballinger; two sisters, Virginia Cox of Archer City, Rev. Clara Earp and husband Sam of Abilene; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
